Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Moravosilesian Domain, Proterozoic. Rocks with distinct frost cliffs. Bedrock consists of porphyroblastic orthogneiss of the Bíteš Groupo of the Svratka Dome. Rocks were intensively affected by frost weathering, small bodies are separated from the main massif. Disintegration into blocks and beds is abundant. Also small caves along fissures are present. This locality as a Nature Monument protects a periglacial relief with maple vegetation and abundant snowdrops.
